DIY PET Bottle Grenade

After a series of failed attempts to make a detonation or at least a trigger assembly for the PET Bottle Grenade (PBG), I have finally found a solution to the dilemma of detonating the PBG without having to open first the bottle and stuff the baking powder inside.
Materials:
- PET Bottle (Choose a softer type of bottle like those mineral water bottles)
- Several ml of Citric Acid Solution
- Several grams of Baking Soda
- BBs or corn kernels as shrapnel
- A thumb tack
- Loctite Glue or any strong adhesive
- Condom or 1¾ X 10 Plastic Cellophane
Procedure:
- Get a PET bottle and make sure that the inside is dry.
- Get the bottle cap and glue a thumbtack on the inside portion.
- While waiting for the thumbtack to dry, Place the baking soda and bbs inside the bottle.
- Place inside the cellophane or condom the citric acid solution and seal it. (WARNING: Make sure to seal the condom or plastic well and make sure that the outer portion is dry when you put the stuff inside the bottle.)
- Place the condom or cellophane that contains the solution inside the bottle.
- Seal it tightly using the bottle cap and seal the cap to the bottle with the glue.
- Now the grenade is armed and ready.
(WARNING: When storing/ handling the grenade, always handle it upright to avoid unwanted detonation.)
How to use:
Turn the bottle upside down and shake vigorously for two or three seconds then throw the grenade.
How it works:
When the grenade is turned upside down, the condom containing the citric acid will come into contact with the thumbtack and will burst. This will allow the citric acid solution to come in contact with the baking soda thus will initiate the chemical reaction. Upon chemical reaction it will produce carbon dioxide CO2 gas in a sealed environment. And because the bottle is tightly sealed, pressure will build up inside the bottle. Upon reaching critical point, the bottle will burst (pop) and it will send out your projectiles in a scattered method.
